A seriously hard ride for the very fit, the format is to ride off the front for as long as you feel able to and stick with the group for the rest. This ride will work for 2 - 12 riders, more than this will dictate 2 groups, this will be determined at the meeting point. (Route)
09:00 (Level 2 ladies run | optional coffee stop halfway)
The ladies club run is ideally suited to intermediate riders and newcomers of average cycling fitness. Destinations and routes are decided on the day, attendance will be agreed via social media, including agreed meeting locations.
There are two runs to choose from on a Sunday, an “A” Run and a “B” Run. The “A” Run is aimed at riders of above average fitness and riders should be confident of maintaining the group pace, indication level 2-3 for the duration of the ride. The “B” run is a more social ride aimed at newcomers and less fit riders.
08:00 (“A” run Level 3 | 60+ miles | no stop – optional coffee stop at end)
09:00 (“B” run Level 2 | 50+ miles | coffee stop halfway)
Members and non-members are very welcome to attend. The more the merrier!
The pace for the club runs is around 17 mph. All rides operate a no drop policy so you won't be left behind! However for the faster rides ability to do the speed and distance is required by the group.
Other rides are also organised throughout the week via. our members only Facebook group. Please ask to be added to the group on our "contact us" form at the bottom of the home page.
To ensure maximum enjoyment a road bike is considered essential for these rides. Please also ensure that you have money (for cafe stop), food, drink and equipment (pump, innertubes, multitool) for a mid distance ride.
For more info on all rides please contact Harold Woodcock (01942 717804)
