There are club runs on Tuesdays and Thursdays starting at 8am (due to the hot weather - will return to 9:30 later on in the year). These runs head mainly west and south.
Tuesday club run is from the M6 motorway bridge opposite Our Lady's Church, Bryn (Downall Green Road)
Thursday club run is from Pimbletts Farm Gate, Ashton-in-Makerfield.
Starts at 8am (will return to 9am once the warm weather subsides) at Ashton-in-Makerfield Library. These runs go south to Cheshire.
There is a faster group which averages around 16mph and does around 65-100 miles
Members and non-members are very welcome to attend. The more the merrier!
The pace for the club runs is around 17 mph. All rides operate a no drop policy so you won't be left behind! However for the faster rides ability to do the speed and distance is required by the group.
Other rides are also organised throughout the week via. our members only Facebook group. Please ask to be added to the group on our "contact us" form at the bottom of the home page.
To ensure maximum enjoyment a road bike is considered essential for these rides. Please also ensure that you have money (for cafe stop), food, drink and equipment (pump, innertubes, multitool) for a mid distance ride.
For more info on all rides please contact Harold Woodcock (01942 717804)
